About

Overview
As a proud 501(c)(7) organization, the Pittsburgh Petroleum Club is strategically located in the historic Allegheny HYP Club building, situated in the heart of downtown, directly across from the Hotel Monaco on William Penn Place. This prime location not only enhances our visibility but also provides our members with a distinguished & professional setting for business engagements within a short walking distance.

Our Mission
The Pittsburgh Petroleum Club is a Social Club aiming to cultivate a distinguished home for networking, advancing the broader interests of the Energy sector, and facilitating multifaceted engagement among its members. Positioned at the confluence of Petroleum, Renewables, and diverse energy disciplines, we are dedicated to upholding traditions of excellence and fostering innovation. This commitment is uniquely Pittsburgh, reflecting our city's rich heritage and forward-looking vision in the energy landscape.

Our Why
Most hydrocarbon-producing basins across the country, and many throughout the world, have established Petroleum Clubs where members can host events, business meals, and happy hours or have a quiet dinner with family. The Appalachian Basin was the first to sell oil in the 1800’s, continues to lead the world’s energy landscape, and deserves to have representation. Very few industry events in and around Pittsburgh are held in consistent locations or quiet, private clubs. The Pittsburgh Petroleum Club aims to offer a central location to hold many future industry events using these long-established clubs as precedent. The PPC will hold or sponsor events in other locations but intends to default to the Allegheny HYP.
